L'Assistant(e) gérant(e) assiste le gérant du restaurant pour l’aider à atteindre les objectifs de A&W en ce qui a trait au service aux invités, aux normes d’exploitation, au marketing et aux résultats financiers en formant une équipe exceptionnelle d’employés et en tirant parti de ses compétences pour obtenir un rendement qui dépasse les attentes des invités. Il/elle est responsable du restaurant pendant son quart de travail. 

Compétences

• Entretenir des rapports avec les autres membres de l’équipe de gestion, le directeur d’affaires d’A&W, les invités, les fournisseurs, et les représentants de la CSST, le service d’incendie, la commission des normes du travail et, le cas échéant, la direction du centre commercial.
• Gérer un restaurant dynamique et centré sur les invités où un excellent climat de travail est très important.
• Comprendre les états financiers jusqu’à la marge d’exploitation.
• La volonté d’accroître sa compétence dans la sélection, la formation et le perfectionnement des employés est aussi primordiale. 
• L'Assistant(e) gérant(e) doit aussi avoir un permis de conduire valide.

Conditions de travail

• Travailler dans un environnement trépidant
• Travailler dans un environnement diversifié où se côtoient des gens aux personnalités et aux attitudes différentes

• Utiliser une échelle portable ou un escabeau, s’il y a lieu 

Exigences physiques

• Rester debout pendant de longues périodes (jusqu’à huit heures)
• Lever parfois des boîtes lourdes lors de la prise d’inventaire (maximum de 50 lb)
• Accomplir des tâches répétitives (préparer et rassembler les articles des commandes et nettoyer périodiquement le restaurant, par exemple)
• Demeurer vigilant afin d’assurer en tout temps votre propre sécurité ainsi que celle de vos collègues et de vos invités 
• Avoir de bonnes habitudes d’hygiène personnelle et respecter les normes en matière d’uniforme 
• Être capable de faire face à des situations stressantes
